Kathy Garcia works as a legal assistant in the pre-litigation section. She is in charge of client and public relations. She is also the administrator for our computer and software systems, websites and is administrative assistant to Rocky. Kathy was elected Staff Member of the Year for 2004. Kathy was born in Topeka, Kansas. She has worked in the legal field for the past nine years; Kathy started her career as a legal librarian for two law firms in Kansas. She then worked as a law firm collections paralegal in Kansas. Kathy then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and worked for a credit corporation, in their legal forwards department, as a legal assistant. Kathy has been with the Law Firm of Roger ‘Rocky’ Walton, P.C. since 2001 in the pre-litigation department. She has an Associates Degree in the School of Applied Studies with an emphasis in Legal Assistant from Washburn University. She is currently finishing her studies in the Legal Assistant program for paralegals at Tarrant County College. Kathy’s hobbies include scrapbooking, swimming, dancing, traveling, watching Kansas University Basketball games, and going to the Dallas Stars Hockey games.
